Part.01
Conference Background
At the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a comprehensive plan was formulated to advance the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization. Despite progress made, the most challenging and demanding task of building a modern socialist country still lies in the rural areas. The Party Central Committee recognizes that addressing the "three rural issues" must remain a top priority for the entire Party. To achieve this, the revitalization of the countryside must be advanced with the collective efforts of the Party and society, and the modernization of agriculture and rural areas accelerated. This can be accomplished by nurturing new industries and businesses in rural areas, and empowering the cultural industry to revitalize the countryside. Additionally, the implementation of the rural leisure tourism boutique project is necessary to realize this vision. To further advance the "developing agriculture through commerce and using the internet+" initiative, it is essential to promote the marketing of agricultural products from villages to cities. This can be accomplished by intensifying efforts to build rural talent teams and solidifying the development of livable and business-friendly rural areas. Moreover, enhancing the development of rural spiritual civilization is critical to realizing this vision.
To promote socialist values, intensifying education and propaganda efforts in villages is necessary. Deepening the creation of mass spiritual civilization in rural areas can be achieved by expanding the construction of facilities like new era civilization practice centers and county-level media centers. Supporting villages to run their own mass cultural activities can also help engage communities. Focusing on family education and development is crucial for promoting strong family values in rural areas. Additionally, implementing the farming culture heritage protection project is essential to preserve and promote important agricultural cultural heritage.
The School of Journalism and Communication at Anhui Normal University has been organizing conferences on Nation Branding since 2018. Over the past three years, these conferences have been successful in facilitating high-level theoretical discussions on various academic fields, including nation branding. They have also made significant contributions to the development of China's philosophy and social sciences discipline, academic system, and discourse system.
In the post-pandemic era, it is imperative to effectively communicate China's story, excel in cross-cultural communication, and enhance China's national brand power. These endeavors are aimed at showcasing China's wisdom, solutions, and contributions to the development of international politics, economics, culture, and various other domains. It is crucial to adopt a consistent and academic tone while conveying China's narrative, to ensure its efficacy and enhance its impact on the global stage.
Revitalizing rural cultural industries is crucial for rejuvenating rural areas and preserving their cultural identity. Media technology has enabled new and diverse forms of expression for rural cultural industries, such as short online videos, documentaries, and microfilms that showcase the intangible cultural heritage, cuisine, customs, and daily life of rural communities. These presentations enhance rural culture's appeal, reach, and impact while promoting Chinese rural culture globally. We are delighted to extend an invitation to the " Invitation to the 4th International Conference on Nation Branding & Rural Vitalization and Branding Forum" on July 1-2, 2023. We understand your busy schedule and commitments, but we would be honored if you could attend at your convenience. The conference provides a fantastic opportunity for academia and industry to come together and share their research, experiences, and insights on rural revitalization and brand development. Given your significant contributions in the fields of nation branding, rural culture, and cross-cultural communication, your presence at the event would be highly valued.
